The soaps in this image have the same ingredients, same process to make the soap, yet they all look different. Why is that you may ask?
The curing process is what determines how each soap will come out. If the temperature is ideal along with humidity the soap can come out similar in color each time, but that's in a perfect environment. Our soaps cure in a dark cool room on racks that encourages even air flow along with a dehumidifer to pull extra moisture out the room. Yet still soda ash occurs on the soap almost every single time (which is not harmful and goes away once the soap is wet). Outside of soda ash the oatmeal and honey fragrance consists of vanillin. Vanillin will change the color of the soap to a darker brown. As you see in the image, the square shaped soap has light brown and dark brown patches (this is the vanillin). Copacetic's goal is to create more uniformed soaps. Uniformity is a part of quality and we will strive to accomplish this with every batch we continue to make. Thank you for supporting us during this time.
